Why would anyone fire Lewis? He is affable, tries to be fair and I have never heard him get in a snit with anyone. I do not know what, if anything, has happened, but I would be disappointed in HBO if they fired Lewis.

'Fired' might be a bit strong. The term might be 'nonrenewed' contract.

His contract wasn't up yet though, so we can use a nicer term like 'laid off' or 'let go'
