The fact that Brian Cushing still won defensive rookie of the year in a re-vote despite failing a PED test in September should show you that a lot of voters for these awards don't care as much about the purity of sports as they make out. A real Pacquiao fan would want Pacquiao to take and pass the test AND beat Floyd afterwards. It is a fact that Mosely beat the Nevada tests while a customer of Balco and that the only way to have an accurate assessment on whether someone is clean or not would be random testing of both blood and urine. If Pacquiao is clean, he should take the test, beat Mayweather like you Pac-fans think he will, and then continue his law suit to further humiliate the Mayweather family.

How is Merchant's word that recognized? It being heard doesn't equate to it being recognized as especially credible, he's just a talking head on HBO - you think Merchant's word is any kind of authoratative, or final, word to real fans of the sport?

Like I said, I enjoy his presence on the HBO team in a lot of ways, but his opinion on Mayweather really is of no consequence.
