Felix Trinidad Vs. William JOPPY revisited

I was watching the fight again and I was amazed at how joppy looked when he kept his hands up...I never seen joppy until his fight with trinidad and was wondering did trinidad mess up his career......he looked real good vs trinidad when he didnt put his hands down....whenever trinidad hit joppy it was walways when joppys hands were down or when trinidad pushed off with his elbow then hit joppy with right crosses.....IM a huge trinidad fan but it looked as if joppy actually had a chance in this fight if he just kept his hands up....anyway my question is was he considered p4p top 10 pre trinidad?

I noticed that as well, but another thing I had noticed was that Taylor was landing that uppercut of his each time 100% on the button and it worried me because if you look at the tape, Joppy kept his hands up but their was a good 3-4 inches in between his arms with his face wide open...Completely vulnerable to an uppercut....He should have kept his hands lower (gloves were at his forehead) and kept his gloves around nose level....

I knew Joppy was washed up but damn he doesnt even try anymore.....

Not to take anything away from Taylor but Joppy was his double end bag in the fight, Joppy made Joppy look bad....

I didn't see the fight but I think trinidad messed up his career....his habit of holding his hands down ruined his career....jermaine taylor must prove himself by fighting another legit middleweight

And Joppy had the "cojones" to say that Tito cheated...if Taylor had hit him with more power he would have gotten ktfo.

I don't think Joppy was ever top 10 p4p, but he fought better against Trinidad which gave him more confidence and allowed Trindad KO him.

Against Taylor, Joppy just decided he wanted to make it to the end without taking the punishment. If Joppy had tried to win he would have got KTFO.

It is one of the great plagues of boxing, to get knocked out you have to try to win.

An example of this is when Hopkins fought some French guy as a mandatory and my god, that was the worst fight I have ever seen. I believe the promoter had to stop the fight because the guy kept running.
