yeah but its basically going to be Golden Boy England with a somewhat bigger sounding name. I dont think they want to open offices in Italy or Portugal for example

Golden Boy England lol Naa Sky's on digital not terrestrial but at least most of the fights they show are not PPV. The more fights on tv the better imo, for everybody.

        No doubt.

Plus they would probably air more fights from the US is they partner up with Golden boy, I think it's a good move as long as they put on good fights.

Is it just me or are things starting to get better for boxing coverage in the UK? I watch Friday night fights from the UK sometimes and they seem to be announcing other upcoming good fights from the states.

Well Sky have always shown the "big" fights. They even aired the williams-cintron fight last weekend. We have Friday fight nights and the Prizefighter events too plus ITV have an agreement with Khan. It was a lot better when we had Setanta though, pretty much every fight was aired. I think British boxing in general is growing and we have a promising future with our winning olympians. Because the domestic scene is heating up i guess the general interest in boxing here is too and Golden Boy are hoping to find a future cash cow to keep bringing to the states like Ricky Hatton. Look out for Mitchell, De Gale, Groves, Saunders, Jeffries, Cleverly, Brook, Munroe, Gavin, Murray etc.. with Froch, Hatton, Haye im sure they can make some good cards in Manchester or London with some of your guys. I think Britain is currently the biggest boxing talent pool outside of the americas. We are in need of exposure and Golden Boy know it.

Yeah that's true, but as long as good events are being aired regularly i dont give a fuck who's making the money.

Thats good news, if Universum goes down maybe they can take over some of their top fighters and be more involved in germany too. This means european fighters under the banner will be able to make a name for themselfs relatively easier in the US than has been the case before

Very valid point. And Oscar is known as the cash cow of boxing in and out of the ring so it doesn't matter.
