This is obviously a sincere, honest guy, whom I've always liked. I don't understand why he arouses such real hatred. He's a bit flambouyant, it's true, but boxing/fighting is not for "shrinking violets".

The mere fact that he has absolutely no punch, and must depend on his skill alone, makes him, in my eyes anyway, "the bravest of the brave", akin to a guy going into a tigers cage without weapons.

He deserves top respect, and I hope he wins!.

Malignaggi thinks Khan has a whole contry behind him? How wrong he is, if he actually came here he'd realise that half the country actually dislikes him.

The reason Khan has done well is because of his olympic success and his marketability!

Whereas Paulie is as marketable as a brick! He just talks!

I'm not a huge fan of Paulie, but I definitely appreciate his honesty about everything. I may not agree with what he says, but at least he's speaking his mind and we know it isn't fake.

Your 1 of the VERY, VERY few that look at Malignaggi in that way. Idk what he's done 2 get so much hate. And in reality, everything that he's saying is true. I know he's said Roach's guys are on roids in the past without any real, solid proof, for that he's kinda wrong but every1 has a right 2 their own opinion and Pacquiao made himself look suspect by not wanting 2 take random drug tests. As a fighter, the fact that he has no power and just gets by on boxing skills alone is impressive. Im gonna be there 2morrow night, hope Paulie wins. If not, Khan vs Ortiz (if he beats Cambell) is a Golden Boy fight that we could see next.

If Freddie always knows what's going on with his fighters, why did his former star pupil James Toney test positive for steroids while Freddy was in his corner?

“Had my family gone to England instead of America, and I became a fighter there, you’re gonna tell me a national amateur champion, the top-ranked amateur in his weight class in his country, speaks three languages fluently, good-looking, can give you any quotes you want, and goes on to win a world championship, you’re gonna tell me I wouldn’t have been the biggest superstar in that country? Instead, I’ve got to be over here and treated like I’m some kind of a joke.”
Now, he's wishing he was British.

It's got some basis in reality. What about James Toney? Everybody forgets he tested positive for PEDs against Ruiz when FREDDIE ROACH was in his corner. Roach hopes everyone forgets that.

i respect the hell out of this guy. That's some real talk about american fans and european fans, but the difference is that the U.S. has so many more talented fighters to root for. As for the uk there is maybe 1 elite fighter in every weight class if that in the whole friggin country. Thats why they back whomever is representing them, there's slim pickings.
One thing i do know is that everyones embracing this khan kid, but they must pull the wool out from over their faces. Golden boy is working overtime promoting this kid and he hasn't really done a damn thing. beat up an old barrerra and what else. Just because he has the backing of goldenboy and a good trainer in the joke coach roach doesnt automatically say that this man has the goods. A little bit of premature hype if you ask me.
I never liked this guy maligg. but i do think he is sincere about everything he says. He speaks what he feels and keeps it real. He knows he dont have the strength of most of the 140's but he is still dedicated to his craft and still
