They still do that in Boston? Its illegal now for sports bars to show a PPV event ... its considered distribution. I would call around first to make sure a place is definately showing it before you get assed out and end up watching Tuesday Night Fights on OnDemand.Originally posted by BostonGuyI might go the local sports bar and watch the fight, by the way how much is the pay-per-view?Comment

ditto for me! Love Gatti, strong dislike for Pretty boy!Originally posted by urdaddyinAZI'm buying this ****er. I've had this date circled on my calendar since I heard about it. This may be my most anticipated fight ever. I love Gatti, I hate PBF...what more could I ask for.
I so hope Gatti manages to pull this off (even though I was told it would mean the death of boxing
)

I want to see Rua vs Rogerio as bad as I want to see Floyd/Gatti.

The sports bar will charge a 'cover-charge' of about $10-15, so it isn't illegal because they buy the ppv event for, I've heard up to $5000.Originally posted by allanglezThey still do that in Boston? they can do it if they have a cover charge. if they get the fight they have to pay for the amount of seats they have. i mean even still they make money cause there is plenty more standing room and they can charge a lower price.Comment

Oh ... I guess I just live in a cheap *** town because our bar owners scoff at the idea of shelling out distribution costs for PPV events.Originally posted by BostonGuyThe sports bar will charge a 'cover-charge' of about $10-15, so it isn't illegal because they buy the ppv event for, I've heard up to $5000.Comment
