I was surprised it's in the little theare, they kept making it seem like it was in the main one.
Are Khan - Malignaggi actually fighting in Madison Square Garden?

thats bad for paulie, how **** must he feel, the small hall next to the legendary room.
Is he really unknown or really unpopular.
im willing to bet that khan has a nice sized british following there, maybe not the hatton following in numbers and noise, but good.Comment

Hatton attracted the typical football fanbase. These are the type of fans that will travel wherever to support one of their own.
Khan draws crowds in britain, but their made up of locals who aren't connected to Khan the way Hatton was to his fans.
Malignaggi really is that unknown. He knows how irrelevant he is and that was the reason for the temper tantrum he threw after the first Diaz fight which got him the rematch.Comment

I was wondering about that too. I heard it was at the garden and I was thinking there is no way that place will be full or even close to full since Khan has never fought here and Malignaggi isn't big outside hardcore fans. I went to DIaz-Malignaggi II in Chicago and that even had a lot of empty seats and that was not near as big as the garden.Comment

Yeah, I do wish Khan would stop talking about "fighting in Madison Square Garden" as if he's actually headlining the big arena itself. Make the distinction. Just say you're fighting in the USA for the first time and move onto another subject.
However, I won't disrespect the WAMU Theater because it looks like a nice joint and has held some pretty big fights in the past, such as Mosley-Forrest I. If I was rich enough, I'd bust out Concorde and fly over there after Katsidis-Mitchell.
