poeple act as if OST is a big deal.......it's not.......it's been months and as yet no logical (or sane) reason has emerged to justify pac's stance on this issue....

The issue stems from 1 boxer, named Floyd, asking another boxer, named Pac,to do something that is not part of the PRESENT rules. So Pac has a legit reason for not doing what his opponent is requesting. It's not illegal to refuse since EVERYONE who is PRESENTLY boxing does NOT have to go thru this. Plus Floyd and company states that Pac must be on something. Not cool!
There is a difference, as PAC has STATED, if those were the governing rules. That is, he would follow the rules like anyone else but that is NOT the case here.
Since this is not part of the rules, then this is a unique situation that can be a problem for the simple reason that it is not part of Pac's habitual pattern of training. Plus, given that Pac already is worried by taking out blood, it puts a psychological strain. So Pac does not want to do this CHANGE in his training routine when he needs to fight his toughest opponent. For Pac or anyone else, it’s not the time to “experiment”. If Pac had done it for 10 fights in a row and see it doesn’t affect him or that he knows how to adjust so it doesn’t affect him then he would have ruled out the psychological claim.
As a boxer you never want to go into a fight with the other boxer having already a leg up on you before the bell even rings.
Yes, it may not affect him but who can say for a fact? Especially psychologically.
Still, one needs to remember that Pac did not refuse to get tested. he just didn’t want to do it close to the fight date.Comment
