It's highly possible, but it's not a given. We don't know if it just falls short of 2.4Mill by a couple of 100k buys. 2.1-2.2Mill, then again it can surpass it. But nothing is promised. The things look now with Team Pacquiao wanting only the State Commission drug testing, and Floyd staying firm on OST. Looks like Floyd's highest PPV fight will stay at 2.4Mill at this pace.

Just look at the 2nd largest PPV, Tyson-Holyfield, both names attracted fans to buy the fight. Another example is Dela Hoya-Trinidad.
How come Marquez only sold 400k with Pacquiao? and if your answer is "Becuzs P@C wasz not a PpV Dr@w @t dat tiMe" Then how come DLH only sold 1.2Mill with Pacquiao?

And how come Judah and Baldomir fights did not get a million PPV's? Judah might not be a superstar but he was known already. And Baldomir was getting descent coverage because of a "cinderalla story".

When the fight was in the talks, the media and fans were already calling the Pac-Oscar fight a circus. In this forum alone, a lot of fans are saying they would not get the fight. Some media call it a desperaiton move by Oscar, picking on a smaller fighter. And you know what happen in the economy in 2008?

If you look at it, it was only when they fought Oscar that they started getting their big paydays.

Jrosales13 vs Tunney, it happened at 130. Great match, Jro won but I thought it was a draw.

Black fighters in the lower weights are not PPV draws. Mayweather is special, that's why he is a draw. You can't name one African American fighter in the lower weights that has impacted like Floyd has. Tyson and Holyfield were around when HW was the best division.

Not even Hopkins or Jones were ever PPV draws. It's hard as hell for a lack fighter to be a draw, let alone a former Super Featherweight. To bring in an estimated 800k+ PPV draws when you add up Judah+Baldomir...That's more than decent.

Yet I see threads trying to discredit Mayweather's number's against Shane Mosley, when not even Prime DLH topped 1Mill PPV buys vs Mosley in neither fight.
All the money Floyd has couldn't buy him the Fighter Of The Decade award.

Mayweather still should get the bigger purse, bigger draw.
