Yes, other fighters went up in weight, yes other fighters won titles in different weight classes. But what Merchant dont say is that usually those fighters start knocking guys out in the lower weight and then change their style to box those bigger guys. They have to use skill to dominate, because usually their power, their speed and their mobility gets somehow affected by moving up.

Manny on the contrary went from being koed by a nobody with jabs or bodyshots to take bombs from big guys like Cotto or Clottery like candies and knocking guys out like he was Tyson. Now, he still could be clean, but his rise to the top looks suspect, and thats undeniable. When theres legitimate suspect like here, its only right to ask for verification. Imagine if nobody asked for that when Barry Bonds was looking like superman...he would have made it and be called the GOAT, instead of a lame cheater now.

It goes both ways. People can have heated debates, but in the end you're going to support who you're going to support no matter what.
LOL Dude floyd just shoulda had vince mcmahon take the taxes from his wrestlemania check.

For the most part, floyd haters question who he is as a man, gay scared etc. For the most part, manny haters ask why he won't take tests. Any criticism is fair. Its just hard to have good debates like this when you make a point and when there is no logical comeback (the battle of witrs described by brick wall) its your a ***** or ur a *******.

        Here is what I think.

This is like Jones-Hopkins a few years ago, when the fight was hot. Jones asked for 60/40 and Hopkins wanted 50/50. Fans of both guys argued in their favor and why b-hop should get the 50/50 and Roy fans argued that he beat him before and therefore deserves more money.

But at the end of the day, if either guys ego went away and they just agreed to the other guys demands, the fight would've happened. Hopkins could've taken the 60/40 and Roy could've easly changed his mind and agreed to 50-50.

But they didn't, so it's both guys fault. And now in 2010, they pulled Social Security on us, and tried to collect whatever they could, and Roy ended up with no money at all. If Pac and Floyd don't come to their senses, that's how they're gonna end up. And 6 years from now, Floyd with a record of 46-3 maybe, and Pac with 55-9, both past their prime will be agreeing to fight each other and try to sell us the fight as the biggest fight ever.
Finally someone who understand what logic is!!!

In 2006 he is almost KO'd by Oscar Larios. A guy who moved up 2 weight classes to fight him.

In 2008 eats all Cottos punches.

Hey aren't you the guy who went off on me for calling Mosley "flat-footed" a few weeks ago.

Also I understand that it's unreasonable to think for one second that a drug test that costs 20,000$ has any chance of being the standard drug test for the sport of boxing.

The NFL the richest sport in the world cant even afford it and you want boxing to do it? Be realistic for one ***ing second man!
the cost of the test will go down if they implemented full time because their will be more fighters in the pool, therefore making it cheaper

Like who exactly? You actually followed the careers of the fighters larry mentioned or did you just pulll that comment out of your ass without researching it.

*** look at Marquez who was a career Featherweight moved up two weight classes to lightweight and suddenly became a KO machine. He Knocked out two guys who were world champion fighters who had never been Knocked out before or since so are you gonna accuse him of steroids next?

But Burner, many fighters before Pacquiao have been hurt in prior fights and been able to take shots in others. How is that so hard to comprehend?

You're tellin me Mosley didn't hit Cotto harder than Torres or Chop Chop?

Are you gonna tell that to the USDA? More and more people have used gasoline over the past 50 years has the price of gas gone up or down?

I understand how one would rationalize that but it never happens that way. demand almost always drives up the price.
