Mayorga has some solid wins for having less than 30 of them

Mayorga has beaten an unbeaten Vernon Forrest by a stoppage, won a rematch with him, stopped and unbeaten Andrew "six heads" Lewis for a world title, and beat a shot Vargas but Mayorga had been stopped a few times before that so it all even.

I addition to this having won a title at 154, fought DLH, Trinidad, and losing in competitive fights to Mosley and Cory Spinks.

All in all not a bad career at all being a two division world champion with what talent he did have and with less than 30 wins under his belt to date.

    So, props to Richardo.

    True...
Mayorga is often overlooked by many, probably due to his trash talking and fighting style, but in his prime days, he had decent wins. And was generally competative in his losses, I haven't seen the Spinks fight, but most seem to say Mayorga got ripped off. I thought he was ahead against Mosley before being stopped (The Sky Sports team also had Mayorga up).

Co-sign. Mayorga had talent no doubt. It's mostly his attitude that stopped from being great.

I wonder if he could still beat Sturm if given the chance at this point to win a title in 3 divisions.

Yes he has a underrated resume
.Michele Piccirillo is a good win aswell, also Eric Mitchell is a decent one.He also fought a NC with Diosbelys Hurtado.

But I would correct you in that he did not stop Vargas.

The dude must have some sort of talent. He beat Forrest twice, who in turn beat Shane twice. I never understood that. But whatever, props to him for doing it. Very impressive.
