  • Lucian Bute - What Should He Do Now????

The majority of the best SMW's in the world are tied to their contracts in the Super 6 Tournament........

Bute easily handled Miranda and IMO is the best SMW in the world...What should his next move be???

Bute is scheduled to defend his IBF title against an unnamed opponent in Romania in July.......Is there any chance he can lure Robert Stieglitz or Sakio Bika into a unification bout???

Stieglitz just fought last month and is not scheduled to fight anyone, and Bika hasn't fought in almost a year.......how Bika is ranked No.5 by the Ring is a mystery to me.....

Why waste time fighting bums in Romania when you can unify the division and further stamp your claim as the best SMW??? Or is Bika too much of a joke and coward to step up??

id say go for pavlik as a keep busy fight, he is fighting a well known boxer, after that hopefully 2 of the super six will be eliminated, green is crap but the other one going will be a good fight to have prob be dirrell or froch

Has to be Pavlik? Could be a good fight for both, Pavlik needs to redeem himself to.

I can understand Bute wanting to go back home and have a fight in front of his family and friends. But after that I would like to see him fight Stieglitz in a unification fight. That's the best SMW fight that can be made right now aside from the Super Six.

I dont know what's going on with Bika....

Good pick gentlemen......This would be a great fight for both Pavlik and Bute....but I don't think Bob Arum will have the galls to put Pavlik up against Bute.....

most of the super 6 fighters have 1 fight left with the exception of Ward and Green, so the 2 fighters who do get eliminated would be an ideal fight for Bute

Pavlik gets ktfo in that fight. Pavlik needs a bum to redeem himself and get his confidence back. Pavlik looked like a beaten fighter even before he got in the ring with Martinez.

Sakio Bika was scheduled to fight Jesse Brinkley on May 28th but Brinkley pulled out due to injury......

that fight was supposed to be a title eliminator for Bute's IBF belt

I have to agree with you that Pavlik needs a tune up fight at SMW first......Bob Arum won't risk throwing his fighter in there with a shark like Bute

Yeah, Why did Bika-Brinkley fall apart?

Brinkley came down with a severe case of the flu and was unable to train for a couple of weeks. He was only cleared by his doctors to train a few days, and it just wasn't sufficient for a fight of that magnitude.

There should be no reason now why a unification fight between Bute and Bika cannot happen........all the Top 10 ranked SMW's are either in the Super 6 besides Bika, Bute and Andrade.....

Andrade is coming off a loss to Bute and is scheduled to fight some Canadian.......so we should have a fight between the No.1 Ranked Bute and No. 5 ranked Bika
