Hell, he may not even be the sexiest at 160, especially if Sturm has something to say about it.

At 154 Martinez would beat Pac, and possibly even Mayweather, though the Mayweather fight would be much tougher for Sergio.

Is it possible that Martinez is just a flash in the pan?

          I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said anything.

You're too important to the movement. You can't know the truth.

No man he has been good for awhile. It just that nobody really wanted to give him a chance. Mainly Oscar and Forrest(RIP).

If those two would of fought them when he was their mandatory then he would of been a bigger name now.

It is a shame they didn't give him the opportunity.

He would get outpointed & out classed by mayweather in any weight & he would get outworked by pac at 154 (fo sho) & i would nuthuggingly bet points to beat him at 160.

Martinez really doesnt posses anything spectacular about him. He's just a very good solid fighter. Not some burgeoning supernova talent on his way to legend. He's 35 years old & is ripe for the picking.

He's very good across the board. speed, boxing skill, slickness, power, etc. But He's not great at anything.

I think he gets beat by floyd at 154 & 160 in a tactical fight. Floyd wins that fight hands down. Vs pac at 154 i would favor pac with no worries. 160 is a toss up.

People want to act like it would be something CRAZY if these fights happen especially the pac fight. But in reality, these type of physical anomaly match ups have happened countless times throughout boxing history.

Henry Armstrong is about the same size actually smaller than pacquiao (pac has a bigger reach) & he battled for the 126,135,147, & 160 crown. sam langford is the same height as Pac & was tangling with heavyweights. Dwight Qawi was shorter than pac & he's a hall of fame lightheavyweight.

What's happening now is that ignorant children run amok in message boards thinking that pacquiao, along with floyd are the first superstar boxers of the internet/blogging age think that they are doing something new & amazing hence the knee jerk nincom****ingpoop analysis.

In all actuality, its nothing new in the long storied & rich tradition of boxing.

In conclusion, sergio would get beat by pac & floyd in very competitive exciting matches.
mayweather has his hands tied against him at 154 and especially 160. i think pac could compete at 154 if he wanted to but he would have to box more than brawl because iron chinned or not thats a big weight class for him. not to mention movement gives pac problems

martinez was getting caught with punches against a slow ass methodically stunted boxer in kelly pavlik & also got ktfo by another slow methodical boxer in antonio margarito.

he's 35, not physically dominating, not really fast, not active, he would get thoroughly outlcassed by floyd at 154, beaten at 160, outpointed at 154 by pac who would weigh in at 147.

Pac is too fast of hands & feet & would outpoint a visibly slowing martinez.

hey, I just started liking Sergio (no ****) coz I like how he fights, but I can't put him up in the level of Floyd and Pac, at least not yet.

                      NO.

he is a very good fighter who is having a unspectacular career. I dont think he's elite HOF level just below it. nothing more, nothing less.
