actually if the doc did stop fight cause he was concerened for cintron even though he should kno the rules maybe now since hes been hearing that 5 min shoulda been given and it wasnt he might be trying to cover up his story cause he might have his job in jeopardy since he didnt give the fighter any time to recover.

you don't get it. you're only given time if you say you want to continue. if a guy is obviously unconscious outside of the ring do you think the doctor is going to sit around for 5 min while the guy dies? No, you're given time if you WANT it. The doctor asked him if he wanted to continue at which point he would have given him 5 minutes, but ***** coward Frogman said "NO" and the Dr. called off the fight.

He wasnt unconscious, he was winded. The doctor was holding him down. Only the doctor and Cintron know what was said. Only thing i heard was Cintron saying he was ok after a couple of minutes.

The doctor is a trained professional with nothing personal invested in the outcome of the fight, to him it doesn't matter who wins or loses, who continues who doesn't. Thus he has no bias in saying what he said and no incentive to lie. Thus the doctor's word is truth, if he said Cintron answered "No" twice, then taht's what happened PERIOD. The doctor is not the one with the history of cowardice, cheating and lying: CINTRON is. Your argument fails hard and Cintron fails harder. He rightfully lost.

I finally watched this fight tonight (thanks DVR!) and I am very surprised to see the press' & forum reaction to the event. I am convinced that Cintron was in fact hurt. Badly hurt.

The replays did not look bad at all but Cintron's post-accident mannerisms made it look like he was really, really hurt. If he was faking any of it then he deserves an oscar.

I mean did he fake an erection on the spot to make it seem like he had a spinal injury? Come on... give the guy a little respect. I don't even like cintron but he was making a very interesting fight for Williams. His counter punching was impressive.

That being said I could care less if there's a rematch or not.

I honestly dont care about Cintron and Im not taking his word. Neither am I taking the word of a doctor who apparently gave conflicting reasons for stopping other fights. Perhaps hes justifying his decision not to give Cintron the permitted time, who knows? The whole thing seemed a shambles. They didnt even know if it was a NC or if they had to go to the cards. It was a farcical situation on the whole.

Also by the same token, you could say that Cintron had no incentive to fake it seeing as he had outboxed and buckled Williams.

Exactly I cant believe people are defending him.

He displayed his non sense in BOTH Margarito fights.

He displayed his non sense when he faked a hand injury to get out a Williams fight in 2008.

He displayed his nonsense in the Martinez fight after he was knocked out.

Then he displayed his nonsense by jumping out the ring and faking an injury vs. Williams.

                      I mean enough already.
