I'm a fan of Pacquiao, but other fans need to realize something.

I agree that is why I don't think he can beat Salvador Sanchez he could do everything that Barrera and JMM could do plus more.
Pac was just at one handed fighter. Salvador beats Pac. And, it is not a knock on Pac. Salvador is that great.
But, lets be real if we fantasy match up Barrera vs Pac who wins. A lot of people would say Barrera because he was a versatile fighter who could do it all. out box you out brawl you he could do all. And, Pac was a one handed. Fantasy fights Barrera wins real fight Pac won.
Like Hamed, Pac KO's Hamed. Even a one handed very flawed Pac at 126 KO's Hamed. Prince did not have the versatility or skills of a MAB or JMM. I don't want to hear how Hamed could beat Pac. Because, it is just not true.
And, even against other ATG's like Pryor or and Arguello, Pac had the style and skills at 140 and 130 to beat both of them. Do make it a war with both of them. And, of course both could beat him too...
What bugs me is that a lot of people don't put styles in to play. They just want to say Pac is a one man bandit Hamed KO's him. Corrales destroys him.
Is like they don't even give Pac a chance. And, I think that is just idiotic. Yes they're a couple boxers that would destroy Pac and out box him silly. But, not every fighter. And, not as many fighters as some posters on here try to make it out to be.
Believe it or not Pac would be competitive with a lot of fighters throughout history at any weight. Only the true very true elite could really dominate Pac.Comment

Its a wrong way of thinking. One dimensional when he was in the lower weights. Small in the higher weights. That automatically means he will lose all these fights.
You don't go undefeated at 122 with all your wins by KO if you would lose all these fantasy matchups. You don't move up in weight to destroy Barrera and draw with a prime JMM at 126 if you'd lose all these fantasy matchups. You don't move up in weight, lose by 2 points to Morales, then knock him out twice and beat Barrera and JMM at 130 if you would lose all thsoe fantasy matchups. You don't knock out undisputed JWW champion Ricky Hatton if you would lose all those fantasy matchups. You don't lose 1 round out of a scheduled 36 against Oscar, Cotto, and Clottey at WW if you would lose all these fantasy matchups.
Its ****ing bull****

I agree. Pac at Featherweight was pretty beatable. I honestly wouldn't have been surprised if he and a prime Chris John went to war (Pac would definitely win though). But even as limited as he was, he knew how to get the job done against the guys who they threw in front of him (aside from Marquez).
But if you throw a Featherweight version of the Pac who fought Cotto in against even a prime Marquez, that fight wouldn't make it past the third round.
I would still like to see them fight a third time. Maybe manny circles to his right side this time and maybe JMM doesn't get dropped again.Comment

The way I look at it, I have a hard time picking anyone who brawls against Pacquiao. Morales I would pick, because he did beat that Pacquiao. I do have a major problem with people who say Pacquiao would get destroyed by these fighters, it's just ridiculous. Like you said, very few are capable of that. The great boxers though, I have a hard time picking Pac against. They would neutralize him at those weights enough to win.
At 135 and 140 though, there are very few fighters I think would beat Pacquiao. And at 147, he would be much more competitive against guys like Leonard and Hearns and Tito and such than most people give him credit for, but he would not beat most of them.Comment
