Hall of Famer = a fighter inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame
"ATG" varies from person to person but I've noticed that on Boxingscene it seems synonymous with a boxer who is deemed to be one of the hundred greatest.Comment

I have noticed it seems like the top 100 or so..
To me it shouldn't be more then the top 50 at BEST, more like top 25 or so, sure there have been a lot of Great boxers but not nearly as many really special fighters.
ATG should be for the likes of Ali, Robinson, Duran etc
I hear people talking about the likes of Bhop as an ATG, sure he is an excellent fighter, but he is not truly special and deserving to be categorized with the names mentioned previously.Comment

i mean what are the intangibles........that sets them apart from the rest of the pact???Comment

Top 50 or 25?
Why a number? It really shouldn't be no number
Look at this way. Floyd/Pac could be at #25 and that makes him an ATG special fighter.
But, if somebody like Saul Alvarez turns out to be greater. And, pushes Floyd/Pac out of the top 25.
Is Floyd/Pac now not an ATG not a special fighter anymore since he is no longer in the top 25?Comment
