Some talk I hear about Pacquiao not having a dance partner has to end because one of the "grandest" stadiums in the world was his dance partner, the home of "America's Team." How many times did we all read or hear "Jerry Jone's amazing 1.2 billion dollar stadium" in every single Pacquiao-Clottey article or media bits? And the big ass TV's they have in there? Pacquiao nut huggers even said this such as Dan Rafael and the people who actually put the event together Bob Arum and Jerry Jones.

This writer summarizes it pretty well, the stadium intrigued people and Jones, Arum, HBO knew this, they even had Max give a tour.
The super welterweight boxing fight known as “The Event” took place this past Saturday night, and it starred the No. 1 pound for pound WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao taking on Joshua Clottey...
In a way, it should have been called Cowboys Stadium vs Pacquiao because the stadium itself was the main attraction. Facility comes 1st, Pacquiao 2nd.
I gotta agree, I remember when i was watching the directv prefight breakdown that they just repeat over and over, they spent about as much time talking about the stadium(& it's giant hd screen) as they did about the fight.
People will troll your thread and take it out of context without realizing that the first MAJOR boxing event in Brand New Cowboys Stadium was a big deal. There is a REASON EVERYONE talked about this STADIUM during the build up. There is a reason Arum wants Marg vs. Pac there.

It wasn't "that" big of a deal! It was a promotional tool yes but it wasn't anything more than that. The PPV would of done exactly the same had it been held in Vegas.

Yes. People showed up to Cowboys Stadium in droves. Nobody is buying a fight to see a stadium though. You're either interested in the fight or youre not.
