Martinez made that comment in response to a comment Floyd made after his fight with Mosely. Floyd was asked about moving up and facing Martinez if the Pac fight didn't happen, and his reply was "it's a possibility".

I don't want to hear **** about one fighter ducking the other, or if one of the fighters is scared of the other, considering the circumstances.

My point exactly. You don't know **** about Boxing, and for future references, Floyd isn't my favorite fighter. People such as yourself like to assume as much when posters call you on your bull****. Instead of replying, you use pointless accusations and insults as a defense tactic.

Above is my first post. That set off yours below........

Martinez fought on the 18th of April while Floyd fought on the first of May. Why should Martinez fight first Paul Williams, let Floyd fight Paul Williams and Martinez get a rest, or let them fight against each other. You Floyd fans are exactly like him, let Martinez fight in another war against a top notch opponent like Williams while Floyd rests after he beat 39 years old Mosley who didn't fight for 18 months prior to this match. You should say let Martinez or Williams fight Floyd now when their are at the top of their game not later when they get old and worn down.
So let Martinez rest and fight Floyd in September, but it will never happen, because Floyd will duck him.

Mayweather fighting Martinez is a no-lose situation for Floyd IMO, so he should jump on it. If he takes it at middleweight and wins, he's done something absolutely crazy and it will force everyone to give him respect. If he loses, everyone can say that he turned pro at 130 and it's okay that he loses 30 pounds heavier, he proved his mettle by taking the fight. And either way he makes tons of money. Add to that another guy being willing to take the test and he makes Manny look even worse (not saying that's a good thing, but I'm pretty sure he would appreciate it). What's not for him to like?

BTW sorry if someone already posted something like this, I wasn't up for 17 pages of reading.
