As most of you should know February 2000 was the year Tony and Sergio fought. We all know the results that Sergio was stopped in the 7th round due to tonys punishment.
Now the question is who takes the fight at 154 10 years later? When the fight happened in 2000 both fighters were still green. Over the course of the years both fighters have seasoned and become excellent fighters.
Judging by the last fights for both these guy had they looked great. Martinez manhandled Kelly after many people said Sergio couldnt handle the bigger and stronger Pavilk. Sergio kepted the fight clean and sexy which was a impressive win.
Now Margarito on the other hand comes back after a huge lay off with a huge victory. Many haters expected and hoped Margarito to lose since Garcia was a heavy puncher. Margarito came in as a new man and showed off his boxing skills which many of the haters said he lacked. Tony boxing skills were out of this world, i mean this guy could box Mayweathers ear off no lie.
So for Martinez and Margarito 2. How do you guys see it? Martinez proved that it doesnt matter how hard you hit or how big you are he'll fight. Margarito proved hes more then a brawler hes a boxer with devastating power with both hands.
This fight would make the most money of a non pac or mayweather fight. We all know Margarito is perhaps the biggest drawing in the sport. This guy sells tickets without even promoting at all. It shows that everyone still cares about Margarito and is willing to pay to get their moneys worth.
