For the first time in his very successful amateur career, Raushee Warren, Cincinnati’s 2 time Olympian competed and brought home the National Golden Glove Belt in the 114 pound weight class. Despite losing very controversially in Beijiing, this kid stayed the whole time and rooted on all of his teammates. I was very struck by it. It was almost like being a defacto team captain in the Olympics meant something to him.

I hope he gets back and gets gold.

Good job Warren, but I still think he is gonna burn himself out in the amateurs.

I hope not, but I've seen it happen. It's hard to eat those medals and getting hit for free doesn't seem worth it. Good win though.
