He's a significant acid test, but not world title level.

To me, Maidana is a club fighter with freakish power. But I see people putting him alongside Alexander and Bradley at the top of 140.

He isn't that tough, Ortiz dropped him a couple of times.

He has insane power and knows how to use it. Hes a dangerous night for any 140 Pounder.

Maidanas best win was against a green Ortiz. Apart from that he has only KO'd a bunge of D-class fighters. He has good power but I see Timmeh, Devon, Amir and Paulie beating him convincingly.

So Maidana is nothing more than a gatekeeper at 140?

Significant enough to beat or at least give trouble to all of the top guys in the 140 lbs division. A good puncher like Maidana is always a treat to watch and always have that eraser to win a fight despite on how down he is on the scorecards.
