Comments Thread For: Darchinyan Demanding The Winner of Vazquez-Marquez

BoxingScene.com was advised by promoter Gary Shaw that WBC/WBA super flyweight champion Vic Darchinyan is pushing for a fight against the the winner of the fourth fight between Israel Vazquez and Rafael Marquez, which takes place on May 22 at Staples Center in California. Darchinyan moves back up to bantamweight on May 20 when he takes on Eric Barcelona for the vacant IBO title. Contrary to published reports, the Barcelona fight will not be televised by Showtime in any fashion.

So why did he beg for the Donaire rematch, only to back out like the gravel-garling little midget that he is?

Both Marquez and Vazquez are past prime but they would still beat the hell out of Darchinyan. Montiel would also beat the hell out of Darchinyan and Donaire would knock him out brutally like in the first fight if they fight again.

            Sure Vic.

But by judging by there last three fights you might need tweezers to pick up the pieces of the winner.

lol at the thought of vic at 126 after his showing at 118.
he's just trying to cherry pick names after these 2 beat the careers out of each other.
he dont want none of 118 cuz he'd get thoroughly outboxed by everyone there.

oh and shaw, your fighter wanted the donaire rematch as well. what can you say about that?

Darchinyan's only chance in a fight with either Vazquez or Marquez would be to get an early KO, but I doubt he would bring his power with him up to 126 unless he's on Pacquiao's regimen.
