I still give the edge to Diego Corrales. Pacquiao was unrefined then, he still took alot of punishment and wasn't the hardest thing to hit. Not to mention, he had a questionable chin, the problem was no one would follow up after rocking him. Diego on the other hand could take punishment like a mofo, is taller, has more reach, great hands and wasn't afraid to ****.

The problem with the "Floyd did it, Pacquiao could too" statements is that Floyd is an elusive fighter. He would hit Corrales from different angles, then move out from different angles, leaving Corrales with no one to hit. Pacquiao does go in an out but it's very linear, it's a straight line.

It would be a battle of attrition and I've seen Corrales take rediculous punishment and still stay standing... need I mention the JLC fights? Pacquiao at that weight showed that he could get hurt bad and if someone would follow up after rocking him, could possibly kayo him... need I pull up JMM II gifs?

That's my two cents. I give a slight edge to Corrales because I know he can take punishment like a mofo.

Man people think Barrera and Morales are just brawlers. Not saying burner does but that is the general consensus on NSB. I have followed both guy since the late 90's and they are some of the most skilled fighters 122-126 has ever seen. I have seen both Morales and Barrera put on boxing clinics, but most would never know as they only use boxrec and see KO's or see highlights of them brawling.

Lmao! I never said Linares would. I said with some seasoning/experience he could. Linares has all the tools to be an atg, he's only 24, turning 25 this year yet has a more complete skill set than juanma, gamboa, alexander, all these prospects and is younger than them(1yr older than alexander).

Freddie said Linares could tho, if he got some more experience. lol

that sad really and most of these people like to brag about boxing knowledge blah blah blah. barrera & morales are both technically sound fighters but most of the time they chose to be warriors. but even in their brawling style you can still see the skills, the way they put up combinations and counters, their head and body movements. barrera against juarez 2 was pure boxing clinic.

Corales is overrated as ****, he would get beat by Pac, Morales, Marquez and Barrera.

i didn't say it was a exciting fight...especially with a fighter of barrera's caliber whom people used to see as a warrior in the ring. it's strange though that a comment like that comes from a floyd fan
