The Cavs finish off the Celtics and Orlando...They meet the Lakers in the finals...Then Lebron demands drug testing before the game and the Lakers say they're not playing for the Championship they're playing for legacy. They call off the game, and the Cavs end up playing the Harlem Globetrotters. NBA fans would start a ***IN RIOT, but for boxing fans it's just another day. We get fed horse**** and say thank you, may i have another...when can we start a global boycott, not just over pac and floyd, but for constantly getting the shaft from greedy promoters, diva champions, failed negotiations, and cross-eyed judges? Is anyone as fed up as I am?

The difference is the NBA has 1 governing body and 1 commissioner. Boxing has too many people trying to call the shots.

that's what I'm saying, there should be one american commission, a european, etc. so if boxers or promoters pull the dumb **** there would be consequences

It will never happen unless all the boxers agree to only box for 1 organization. Problem is somebody is going to run to a lesser organization to avoid tougher competition. Another problem is these greedy promoters who have too much power and say so.

Easy solution is stop buying **** PPVs. If the main fight is decent you still have crappy undercards. I have watched 1 UFC (free) and was impressed by the entertainment value of the whole show.
When was the last PPV with a great show, start to finish?

We need to ignore PPVs and 'superstar' boxing and enjoy what little solid broadcast stuff we can. Once PPVs are gone or much rarer we will lose a lot of the 'matchmaking' shenanigans that result in all the in-house, career building but ultimately useless fights.

If the result is pretty much forgone then why bother?

boxing is indeed the most frustrating sport when they get it wrong....which is sadly often...but when they get it right it is the most exhilirating sport on the planet by a long long way.......

In boxing, you have to wait MONTHS for a good quality matchup, and sometimes, it doesnt even turn out to be a good scrap. Too much bitching and whining about money, etc... The best barely want to fight the best.

Boxing has to be the most frustrating sport to be a fan of.
