We would have got him up and given him a second evaluation," Wallace told The LA Times.
Once Wallace called the fight, he claims Cintron changed his mind and wanted the fight to continue."

I think all you guys are nuts, the way you jump on a fellow and destroy his reputation.
Personally, I don't believe that particular doctor, he's the same one who stopped the Klitschko-Lewis fight, saying that he asked Klitschko to "look up" and he didn't, so the doctor "concluded" that Klitschko was bliind in that eye, because a nerve was severed, preventing the eyelid from lifting.......
As you all know, when Klitschko heard the fight was stopped, when he had Lewis at his mercy, he jumped up, and BOTH EYES opened wide, nearly popping out of their sockets. The ****** doctor, Wallace, gave 2 other reasons at two different times. They were ALL untrue, leading to speculation that Wallace may have had a big bet on Lewis.

And I don't think it's an irrelevant detail either as many bettors probably wagered of Williams by KO or TKO.

Look, the guy wore so much hair gel and moose [sic], that the fumes were making me dizzy. And I still managed to put it on him on only 4 weeks’ notice. Let’s clear the air for good. With an eight week camp, I knock him out. Simple as that!"
