I'm glad he won. If he lost, it could've hurt his confidence and possibly weakened his will to train as hard as he does.

More than ever, Pacquiao will feel he has the support of his people, and that energy will carry over into the ring.

And there's no doubt he did it for ego, and now it will be a good excuse to get out of boxing and avoid losing to Floyd.

I don't know what to say other than take the test congressman Pacquiao.
He could be president of the philippines, but he will still get his political ass beat by Mayweather.

It is very unfair and downright ****** for you to say that Filipinos are dumb and uneducated! I was stationed in the Philippines before and what impressed me most about them is how much they value education more than anything else. Even the lowly families over there would work their ass off just to send their children to school and most of those kids are college graduates. I think the filipinos are one of the more educated peoples in the world. Have you noticed how fluent they are in english? I'm sure they're more educated, more intelligent and smarter than you who pretends to be educated when you could not even spell the word "college" right. Shut your goddamn big mouth! You are a disgrace to your own kind dumbass!

But congratulations to Manny for another accomplishment in his life.

He may ruin his reputation with this political bull****!!!!
well, i guess you PR people are more enlightened in terms of the socio-poltical-economic issues in your country that the Philippines. I haven't seen Pac responded with a decent degree of wisdom in all of his interviews, especially in politics, and putting someone like him in Congress mirrors what goes on inside the mind of the electorate. I'm Pac's fellow countryman, but I'm saddened with his win.

These so called elected educated government officials what they did to alleviate the suffering of these poverty-stricken people in the Philippines? The sad fact is? Educated people are the majority corrupt politicians there.

How the hell can Manny concentrate in boxing while one foot in politics, let alone beat a stealthy opponent like Mayweather? Anyway, congratulations to him and hope he could make a difference to the people who voted him.
