Great PPV for two Non-Hispanic fighters

Mayweather and Pacquiao may get the mega events twice a year but its really the small hispanic cards like JCC jr and Latin Fury that keep the sport going on a consistent basis. Boxing is dead witout the Hispanic community, and Im surprised that who R u Picking did so well without a hispanic fighter in the main event. The only non Hispanic fights that break 400K are usually heavyweights

    Cotto-Margarito 450k
    ODH-Trinidad 1.4 million
    ODH-Mayorga Million
    ODH-Mayweather-2.4 million
    ODH-Pacquiao 1.4 million
    Mayweather Marquez million
    Pacquiao Cotto 1.25 million

Well they did promote that Canelo was going to fight in the card so that's one of the reasons why some people bought the ppv. I'm not saying people bought it because of Canelo, but if they were reluctant on buying it Canelo might have convinced some people to buy it.

As much as I hate to admit it, Mayweather Margarito would be HUGE and they wouldnt even need a 24/7 to promote it.

It would be Mayweather/Marquez on steroids errrrr... with handwraps!

              Very very true!!..

All the barbers and their clients (mainly mexicans) were all talking about watching and ordering the PPV to watch Canelo..I'm talking bout more than 15 people i heard in less than an hour..and not ONE mentioned the main event..

As they walked in they'd say.."ya mero es la pelea del Canelo!"..(translation: it's almost time for Canelo's fight") like if he was headlining the fight..lol

I'm glad u brought that up bro..but the event did do solid numbers with 1.4mil sold..cong**** to Mosley and Money May..I thought it was gonna crack 2mil tho

Eh casual fans didn't care about Canelo. I would say the Mexican fans did and they probably did buy it for Canelo. But, casual fans bout that card for Floyd-Shane.
