  • Comments Thread For: Weekend Thoughts: Mayweather-Pacquiao; Cintron; More

This week’s slate of “thoughts” has a serving of yesterday, a smattering of today and a healthy heaping of tomorrow. So without further delay, let’s dig in:

Floyd Mayweather’s dominance of Shane Mosley deserves a bump up my pound-for-pound list – but he won’t be happy that he has company.

15 rounds? I'll be happy if they sign to fight each other....even for 10 rounds.

I agree. Pacquiao and Mayweather really are tied for the top P4P spot. Anyone who can get by their partisan feelings for one or the other will also agree.

Should they meet, a 15-rounder would indeed be the ultimate matchup. It is too bad that it's been dropped in very high profile fights, though I suppose it has its reasons (safety mostly). Still, I would second that motion for these two!

That suggestion is irrelevant. Why go back to boxing old ways for one fight ? It won't happen, it is just a writer fantasy.

With the pace that Pacquiao will set, there is no need for 15 rounds to see if Mayweather will crumble under the pressure physically and mentally.

Mayweather Pacquiao 15 rounds? I LOVE the sound of that. I'd pick Mayweather to stop him.

Both Mayweather and Pacquiao have 15 round stamina.

Well, they first need to AGREE and SIGN to fight each other before there is talk bout it being 15 rounds.like the concept for mega fights instead of having a "diamond belt". I think of Ali/Frazier when I hear 15 rounds, don't think PAC/may fight will be brutal Fight like that , one can only hope they sign first, will be happy with just a 12 rounder
