If Floyd ran for U.S Congress......

People would start off by saying "what the hell does Floyd (high school dropout) know about politics?" "Floyd is just trying to duck Manny again!!!"

But when Pacquiao runs for office people say "Manny (a 3rd grade dropout) has had a wonderful boxing career and now he wishes to help his country by running for election. Good for him."

That is a double standard. I'm a big Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather fan, but Pacquiao gets the passes that most fighters wouldn't.

It would be extremely embarrassing if Floyd actually ran for congress and had a chance.

Pacman couldn’t even run a 10 hut village IMO

What? I've seen plently of people saying that Pac is ducking Money by running for office. The hate goes around for both of them.

          Joe Mesi:

On February 14, 2008, Mesi publicly expressed his interest to run for the New York State Senate. He attempted to fill the 61st District seat vacated by Mary Lou Rath.[2] He won the ********ic primary for the seat on September 9, 2008.[3] He was opposed by ********** candidate Michael Ranzenhofer, who defeated him.[4]

Most recently, Joe has taken a position with the ******** Senate Majority heading up a local Buffalo liaison office. This newly created job is very controversial since it pays $70,000 a year plus benefits and is considered a "patronage" job by many, while the state of New York is in hard financial times. [1] Ironically, Joe campaigned against such position while running for New York State Senate.[2]; however Joe claims he is qualified for this position.

Excellent point, I think it's all about Pacquiao's fake image. He pretends to be a good guy and talks about god and this and that. Yet this is the same guy who openly admits to cheating on his wife. I mean which one is it?

              That's why I respect Floyd, He's real

It would be tough because most of his fans aren't old enough to vote for him

Some recent athletes in politics in america:
********** vice presidential candidate Jack Kemp (football), former Congressman Steve Largent (football), Senator Jim Bunning (baseball) and former Senator and presidential candidate Bill Bradley (basketball). More recently, ******** Dave Bing was elected mayor of Detroit, a city that loved him during his Hall of Fame career with the Pistons.

Any history buff can list dozens upon dozens of pro athletes turned politician.
