Hmmm cause he outclassed and dominated garcia who has a solid beard at 154lbs and margos power diminishes at 154lbs and he fought a boxer-puncher style instead of his usual swarmer(more kos) style


i believe grandpa garcia was a great choice for him if garcia had him since he was 15...who knows how much better he could be right now.

The fact that he may well have ruined Cotto with loaded gloves turned me off as a fan.

You know I used to say that same thing, "Margarito ruined Cotto"... but there's very little truth to that statement... Do I think the Margarito performance effected Cotto; I don't think so anymore... We're basing this off of his last two outting with Clottey and Pacquiao but think about it. No one looks good against Clottey and Cotto fought that fight with a insanely bad cut. And the Pacquiao fight, no version of Cotto would of beaten this welterweight version of Pacquiao... I believe Cotto has always had flaws which is why I'm glad Emmanuel Steward is now is trainer because he's a trainer that bases him self off of fundamentals... But Cotto wasn't "ruined" by Margarito he was a good fighter before hand and good fighter now

I think foreman is a bad style matchup for cotto..and i dont like how he gets a title shot after getting demolished 1 division south...foreman has less ring wear...size...on cotto. cotto has more ring wear..(courtesy of beatings/wars) and has short arms...woudnt suprise me if foreman outboxes him..if cotto wins all power to him.

I found a article of the nevada state athletic comission executive director stating that evangelista cotto was their watching margo getting his hands wrapped..but its from another boxing site and i dont want to get in trouble for posting link or can i get in trouble for that?
