When I work out, I like to think a lot about...

weight distributions for every punch: where my weight should be for every punch, left leg or right leg

awkward combos and reflecting combos onto the other hand: for instance,
right jab, left cross, right hook becomes left cross, right jab, left hook

I hope I can train a couple of little kids at the new gym I am signing up to.
If you would force a lot of people to fight southpaw don't even think about training children.

Depends on the genetics, builds and temperaments of the fighters.......

Just hit and don't get hit. Be very careful

But overall it depends on the natural skills and abilities of the fighter

Not saying that just from a pureboxer fan standpoint. I wouldnt want him to get his brains smashed by blocking shots with his face.
In order to fight like Floyd Mayweather you need Floyd's athleticism. You cant stand infront of your opponent and shoulder roll if you don't have lightning reflexes like Floyd...

Id train my son to become like B-hop

If I had to train a fighter from scratch I would focus heavily on conditioning, stamina, explosiveness, combination punching and body punching. A lot of sprints, plyometrics, roadwork, interval training and weights during the off seasons (I don't care what people say about weights slowing you down. They give you a lot of muscle and power and if you stop a month or two before a bout and work on speed you will have a quick skull crushing punch). Would also do a lot of reflex work and focus on combinations that go to both the body and head(few boxers really go to the body these days). For the defense I would teach him to fight like Tyson and do a lot of slipping and bobbing drills.

For a fight I would have him rip at the opponents body for the first half of the fight and if he doesn't drop from that he will be too tired anyway and we can knock his head off with some explosive Sugar Ray Leonard type combinations to the head.
