Roach was never too excited about a fight with Margarito. Heck, he favored taking Valero over him. It'll be Pacquiao's dumbass fault to agree to it if Arum pushes him into signing the contract with Margarito.

He also said that he would rather Pacquiao face Klitschko then get into the ring vs. Margarito. This was after Margo destroyed Cotto.
Roach just can't help contradicting himself.

Because of Pac's position re: OST, he appears to be feeding on Top Rank fighters. He cannot really afford to approach other fighters / promoters just in case they also insist on OST's. Wouldn't that publicity be great.

About 4-5 weeks ago Arum stated that he would match Pac up with either Valero, or Margarito. I remember thinking at the time that other than Margarito and Valero, there is no other Top Rank fighter who is in a postion to fight Pac.

Well, scratch Valero (RIP).

If the Mayweather fight falls through, Margarito it is.

Pac doesn't really have any other options except Cotto at 154, if he is successful against Foreman.
