Mormeck is pursuing a fight with Adamek

French websites are reporting that Jean Marc Mormeck is trying to land a fight with Tomasz Adamek for July. Mormeck's team has already made and signed a pre-contract. The fight could take place in the US.

Mormeck is quoted as saying "C'est un tueur, il fait peur à tout le monde. C'est dingue comme ça me motive. J'en salive d'avance. C'est du très gros, je vais prendre un risque énorme et ça me fait plaisir."

    translation:

"He's a killer, everyone is scared about him. I am incredibly motivated. I am looking forward to this. It's something huge, I will take an enormous risk but I like that."

Adamek will beat his ass in his own chateaux.

Just like Fast Fres Oquendo did but got robbed.

But I don't think they will rob Adamek.

That would be a big step back in his career. Mormeck is irrelivant, he should be fighting Thompson or try to get Haye.

I'm not sure if Adamek will accept the fight or not, but I think Mormeck would be okay as a "stay-active" opponent if Tomasz can't land a fight with a Klitschko or with David Haye.

Will Adamek really waste his time with Mormeck?

I forgot about that fight. Just saw the scores on boxrec and Fres lost by a round or two. Was it a good fight anyway?

I don't have a ton of faith that Adamek will get either, so it could happen.

And I do agree with Mik, Mormeck is a step back.

um no you just got schooled vs fres oquendo. jumping from cruiser to heavy at the old age of 37 is a bad idea. you aren't a 26 year old holyfield. your career high was having that blonde facial hair. it's all downhill after that.

Well, he is not old for a HW and he was certainly not shot in his last fights at CW. He looked good in the early rounds and he knocked Haye down before being stopped.

His first fights at HW are also not so bad. As a pressure fighter he didn't shine against Oquendo who has a damned awkward style made of clinches. He is not the 1st guy to struggle against Fres anyway. At least he didn't look shot and he even proved he has improved his stamina.

And he wouldn't be so undersized against Adamek who is also a former LHW/CW and their styles could give several good rounds imo.
