I think so. Ever since he lost he's been thrown out the picture in terms of a serious superstar. I don't think he's nothing yet. I think in that loss - it was a gut check. He was being labeled as a up and coming fighter who had everything coming at him. IMO at a young age he took it up in the head too much and thought he was unstoppable. Maidana fight sure made him learn.

I think he beats Maidana in a rematch - all he needed was a ****ing jab. I feel he beats Alexander, Bradley, Khan even. Yes, I know it sounds DUMB NOW - but I think we should really wait and see. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the true 140 champion emerges to be Victor Ortiz. He certainly has the skills, power to do it. Just the question as he learned and grew a heart.

he has a lot of redeeming to do, because after that post fight interview, it left a lot of people shaking their head at him because of the things he said, questioning his heart and mental strength. maybe he wasnt informed on how to properly conduct a post fight interview.

He's more then capable of that. All he needed to do against Maidana was be more patient, thats all he needed to do. But now, I have to question his heart. We'll see.

I want someone to explain how beating nate campbell elevates your standing at 140.

No. I don't see him taking shot after shot in tough fights. Alexander, Bradley, Khan and Maidana can all have better careers and defeat Ortiz. When it's all said and done, he'll have a career similar to Zab Judah. Very talented, maybe have a world title too but come up short in the big fights the way Zab did with Floyd, Tsyzu and Cotto.

If you look at the people he's faced, none stand out except for Maidana. He's yet to go to the next level outside of that 1 fight and he gave up. I don't think Ortiz will be this consistent top 10 p4p fighter or even the best JR WW and WW boxer at all.

It doesn't. And if he haven't learned anything, Nate Campbell is going to take his heart too.

I'm not sold on Alexander yet. Had he just UD Urango people wouldn't be giving him this huge hype that he has as the best of 140 after that fight.. He landed a great uppercut that put Urango on his ass but that's all I saw.

I don't think he beats Bradley at all and if he does i havent seen enough fights to say he does. Crazy how his team and other people riding on his jock after that KO win. I mean dont get me wrong it was a great win but id rather him just keep going to see if he's legit.

I think Bradley, Khan and Alexander would all beat him. He'd beat Maidana in a rematch, though. That's the route he needs to go. He needs to avenge his only true loss, which is what ruined his career. He went from prospect of the year to quitter of the year.

He'd struggle alot with Bradley for sure i know that. But if Bradley stood in his face too long he could go down. Let's not forget Ortiz has power in his hands. Though im sure in terms of experience and skill Bradley won't let that happen. But when it comes to Khan, Alexander i'd pick Ortiz, though i'd say Alexander-Ortiz would be a very close fight.
