yo this constant shouts between these two guys peoples needs to stop. They are BOTH fighters of golden boy. which means that these two will NOT be fighting each other for a long time. Both are very good fighters and are young. we should hope for the best that these guys can carry boxing, instead of rip on these guys.Comment

Oh well...
Victor Ortiz >>>> A'mere Con
Ams don't mean **** anymore, it's the pros. Victor may have loss but at least Maidana is legit. Con was canned in 1 by a guy who got outboxed for 12 against a blown up featherweight.Comment

3 July 2003.
RSCO 2 - Referee Stopped Contest.
Khan said he dominated. Ortiz says it was close. Which seems more likely, considering the outcome?Alot of smart ones on here, let me break this down.
In the amateurs they'll stop the fight if there is a 20 point difference, currently. Back in 03 when they would have fought it was a 15 point difference i believe.
Ortiz said it was even from an American/Pro style standpoint, meaning he was landing hard shots, perhaps bodyshots too (which rarely get awarded points). Khan on the other hand was using his pitty pat style where you flurry with no power and get awarded points for shots that couldn't crack an egg.
So neither are really lying. Khan "dominated" on points by fighting in a style which is cowardly and does no damage but you can get away with in the amateurs (See Italian Clemente Russo to witness this ******** of a style) while Ortiz was actually fighting and landing good shots but since he's sitting down on shots he doesn't land as frequently although his are doing more damage.Comment

You can be a successful Amateur with a pro style like Golovkin or Korobov as examples.Comment
