He is a Shane Mosley nuthugger bro. He was one of the first dude to really talk about Shane from HBO. Dude is a big Mosley fan, what did he say when Shane KO'd Mayorga? "Shane Mosley I love you" LMAO.

But, he doesn't sugar coat it. He comes from a fan perspective. How the fuck is Shane going to say he was "tight" How long have you been a pro, how many fights have you had? And, you were "tight" Come on? And, Merchant called him on his bull****.

That is what he does, if HE FEELS you're bull****ting he will call you on it. There is nothing wrong with calling bull****... More guys should be calling bull****...

I found nothing wrong the way he did those post fights interviews. Nobody does such a great job on post fight interview like Merchant. Nobody right now.

Boxing needs all the help it can get..we already have the best not fighting the best we don't need the announcers bashing the fighters, especially the good ones...Kinda messed up that when fighters turn 50 they can barely talk cause they have been hit to many times but we still want them to go in there like Gatti, kinda selfish a lil
Kinda selfish? It's completely selfish, especially when the art of boxing is all about hitting without getting hit. I cringe when I see recent clips of Ali, Meldrick Taylor, Holyfield, ect.

What the ****? Mosley was tight during the fight. His trainer saw it, Steward saw it, everybody saw it except maybe you and Merchant. Lampley(of all people) even saw this, he pointed it out in the 1st round before Mosley's big 2nd round. What motivation did Mosley have to lie about how he felt in the ring? He basically admitted that Mayweather outclassed him, so he wasn't trying to make excuses. More importantly, who is Merchant to be questioning Shane Mosley about how he felt? Merchant was never a fighter. He doesn't know what it's like to lace up the gloves and go 1 round against a pro fighter, let alone 12 against the best in the world. He was disrespectful and unnecessarily callous. I actually thought that Mosley and Mayweather showed class in just brushing his disrespect off.

Merchant is an *sshole who's probably drunk most of the time he's on air, this is well known. He's also a hater who doesn't know what he's talking about a reasonable amount of the time. As has been stated earlier in this thread, his "I don't see the power shots" comment shows that he either let's the hate get the better of him to the point where it actually distorts what he sees, or he's just losing it and doesn't know what he's talking about. The subsequent right hand that Mayweather cracked Mosley with shortly after that comment was the same right hand that Mayweather had been hitting Mosley with all night.
