ABSOLUTELY! Why not trash talk? Why be modest? This is BOXING, not ballet...

Ali had quadruple the amount of fans that any other fighter has ever had...he was twice as popular than any other heavyweight for his ring ability, then his trash talk got not only his fans but his "enemies" to attend the fights and/or watch on TV, so in the end he had 4 times the popularity compared to other fighters

Actually what kills the sport is those fighters with boooooring tactics. The ones that hug a lot, or the ones that really run around the ring like Spinx, and those with limited skills that cant do anything about it like Mayorga.

You dont need to talk smack to sell PPV, you just gotta give people a great show.

I agree with that except for the Mayorga part. IDK if he sells tickets but I would definatly want to watch him fight. He has the style that makes it a fight and not a boxing match.

People gotta remember.......BOXING is a sport!......Now dont get me wrong I definitley agree that when there is hatred between fighters its better competition and there is more emotion in the fight but saying the "I love my opponent" type fights are killing boxing then your just like the idiots that still buy a Tyson PPV. The mainstream boxing fans that hear about a guy that can knock some heads off or used to in Tysons case are whats wrong with boxing. There is a art to boxing, its not just talkin **** and knocking mother****ers out.
