    For all the Mayweather haters....

Understand this... Floyd has created a tremondous buzz for his fight with Gatti next weekend. Imagine the people that will order the fight now simply because they saw that interview between him and Gatti last night.

Floyd is taking it back to the OLD SCHOOL when fighters used to talk **** to each other and have RIVALRIES. This modern day politically correct, I love my opponent, I'm not the best but I fight the best, I'll fight anybody my promoter tells me to, I never try for the knockout, pussified talk is part of the problem boxing is nearly DEAD on the mainstream level.

People want to see heated rivalries and real FIGHTS... When is the last time any of you anticipated the first round bell ringing like you are for next week?

Enjoy this **** because it won't happen too often again.

What Floyds doing comes nowhere close to the REAL hatred that Morales and Barrera have for each other. Thats a real rivalry.

exactly. That is real hate between the two, and it applies directly to their fanbases as well. (in many cases anyway).

the "i love my opponent" stuff has nothing to do with how boxing is today. there are just as many trash talkers as there are passive talkers.

look at this generation's best rivalry: arturo gatti vs mickey ward. they dont hate each other, in fact ward is part of gatti's entourage. they didnt need to trash talk like mad to form their rivarly.

Actually what kills the sport is those fighters with boooooring tactics. The ones that hug a lot, or the ones that really run around the ring like Spinx, and those with limited skills that cant do anything about it like Mayorga.

You dont need to talk smack to sell PPV, you just gotta give people a great show.
