Sergio Martinez "Williams Looked Very Lethargic"

Martinez said that he thought Williams "Looked very lethargic" against Cintron.

"I was a little surprised, being at ringside. He didnt' really look like the old Paul Williams. I thought that he was taking his time, and that he seemed tentative, and that he looked very flat," said Martinez. "That was not the Paul Williams that I've seen in the past. Cinton is just a very awkward and difficult fighter."

Going up and down in weight is not helping him...

I wish his team and his fans would realize this.

On A Side Note: I know Cintron has the habbit of bitching up, but that is no reason to act like you didn't see what was happening in that fight...

during the fight, im pretty sure his corner was telling him to stay back and counter, not till the fourth they told him to put his foot on the gas.

Yeah, and in the fourth he missed just as much as he did in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd...

Then got countered twice for his trouble...Paul was on his way to a long night (from the looks of it), but some seem to think he had Cintron right where he wanted him....Very strange if you ask me.

He said he can still make 147 but I would be in favor of just sticking to 154. Don't even bother with the catch-weight of 152 like I think he said he weighed in for this fight for. Do whatever is the healthiest.

If Floyd wants him, fight him at 154. Or just go all out and fill out at 160.

It's a shame. He just wants big fights so he is in limbo.

Maybe he can still make 147; he knows his body...don't know. But I wouldn't chance it at this point.

as much as he was going to have a "long night", kermit the frog showed otherwise.

              Sad situation for CIntron...

Nothing was going on in the fight that would want to make him quit (if you feel other wise, please prove it)...

              Oh well.

You know damn well why Williams looked lethargic, Martinez. You ruined him, you handsome devil.

                  Lol.

Kermit was fighting the PERFECT fight. He was slipping, pivoting, and rolling virtually everything paul threw, all while sitting in the pocket.

Not to mention, he was countering beautifully and timing paul. he didn't land all his counters, but when you have a puncher like that trying to counter you every time you throw, you're going to become very passive.

Kermit made Williams respectful, it was going to be a long night for williams AND kermit. Williams would have turned up the heat going for broke, and kermit would have done so as well (more opportunities to counter).

It was Williams who would have had to make the fight happen. kermit was comfortable boxing from teh outside and was never going to force the action in fear of tiring himself out. He had the perfect place. Keep Paul respectful, and preserve energy for when he tries to unleash.

I thought he won teh first 2 rounds EASY, it's not even arguable!! and can even make a case for the third when paul tried to turn up the heat but missed virtually everything. Paul, IMO, Made kermit look good.

Round 4 i gave to kermit as well. He landed a big right hand that seemed to effect williams legs a bit, 10 seconds later williams landed the left, they tangled, and then the rest is history.

Kermit dove out the ring on purpose IMO, thinking he was going to get the W for outboxing williams - but judges suck.

I personally think Kermit was acting, but it still won't stop me from knowing what I saw. What I saw was him handling williams with ease, and no matter what the judges weren't going to give him the fight.

The acting is bull**** though and disgraceful.
