Its easier to look slower when the opponent infront of you won't corporate with you and stay still.

Yea, even his corner was saying 'show me some more speed'. Dno, maybe he just wasn't warmed up enough yet

He looked slower for some reason and I don't think it was just his opponent. It's the way he was moving overall just looked slower. I'll have to go back to compare with the Martinez fight, but as of now, from what I remember, he looked faster in that fight and had more energy from the start.

Now as far as energy if that was his game-plan to start slower like that, maybe it affected his speed overall because mentally he is trying to force himself to fight at a slower pace. We would have known more as the fight went along.

He needs another trainer. At least just add someone to camp if "loyalty" is what is holding him together with his trainer...which is a good thing and respectful. But do what is needed to continue your learning at this level.

He has a lot of raw talent but has flaws in his game...especially defense.
