I'm sure some of you have boxed before...I have...and what cintron did last night was throw himself out of the ring. He knew Paul was gonna heat up and NOT stop. You could sense it...as other posts have mentioned, a professionally trained boxer doesn't "fly" out of the ring like cintron did. If you look at the replay cintron used his back leg to carry him towards the ropes and as he heading towards them he didn't make any, any effort to use the ropes to keep him inside the ring. He was feeling Paul's pressure and used that tangle to create some drama. Sure, he didn't know where the drama was gonna end up, but that's what cintron does to survive in fights he feels he can lose in, just like he did with martinez when he complained a punch was a head butt. It was the same type of pattern where he created the drama, tried to alter the rythm, tried to alter the structure of the fight to hopefully alter the outcome in his favor...this time it failed him though. No draw for you, cintron. He needs to stick to bowling, as Emmanuel Steward has mentioned twice that cintron is good at it.

you are 200% on point with this post, that azz clown actually jumped and made sure to go thru the ropes, shoo i dont even think his body even disturbed the ropes as he dove out of the ring....lucky for his ****** azz he didn't injure himself for real by doing that bull****....and let's give JIM LAMPLEY an award for trying to make the **** sound serious, lampley at one point said "we dont know if he could be suffering from an internal lasceration"....OMG that had me rolling on the floor when he said that crap......

If he wanted to continue he should have done it before all the doctors and people came and sat near him for like 10min and acting like he's paralized..

wowwwwww kermit fall wasn't bad at all he just quit man he just plain and simple quit I can't respect that..at all..he could have continued.. They took him in a streture and a neck brace on like he broke he's neck and I didn't even see him hitting he's head anywhere u only wear a neck brace if u really twisted and cannot imean cannot move your head but oh well...I don't who Paul gona fight next but in my very honest oppinion nobody's gona fight Paul cuz he's height and reach difference that he has specially at WW!!! And he doesn't have a huge fan base of like a cotto,PAC or even floyd luv him or hate him u still watch he's fights cuz that's he's persona u wana see him win or u wana see him get ko'd but still u watch em..but Paul is like aguy who would get in there wit anybody cuz he's that guy he feels he has all the respect to gain and nothing to lose he's a throw back to the days of basilio, lammotta etc he has that type of temprament..but idk maybe someone can give him a big money fight cuz he disrves it in a way..but then again u gota have a fan base or create a positive or negative persona for people to really watch u..

What I have bolded is not true potna. As a former medic. The paramedics acted exactly as they are taught. When there is a "possible" head and/or neck injury, they must use what is refered to as "C" sprine precautions. You may not have "actually" injured your head or neck, but they still must take the precautions as even the slightest fracture can cause paraylisis. I do agree that Kermit over played the situation, as well as flinging himself out of the ring.

its possible that cintron "quit" because he thought he was up on the scorecards. i gave the first two rounds to cintron so i had it a draw after 3 1/2 rounds. No doubt though that Paul would have knocked him out tho

If Paul ever wants to face Mayweather or Pacquiao, he's going to be a gangly, weight-drained bean pole who gets tooled. He looks terrible at 154 against a lousy opponent...

I'm confused. The rules clearly state this for accidental injuries. --------------------- Accidental: If a boxer is accidentally injured and cannot continue fighting before the completion of the fourth round, the fight shall be declared a technical draw. If a boxer is accidentally injured and as a result the referee determines that he cannot continue fighting in that or later rounds, the result of the fight shall be determined by the judges’ scorecards as long as four rounds have been completed. The fighter ahead on the scorecards shall be declared the winner by technical decision. If there is a draw in the scorecards, the bout shall be declared a draw.

It's a California law that supercedes the ruling for accidental injuries. It's their athletic commission and stipulations which forced a decision from the judges.

I think you guys are being too hard on both fighters. They were both tense early on, and both turned up the heat in round 4. Both guys. Cintron was actually the only fighter of the two who landed anything of consequence in that round.

The whole leaping out of the ring thing was weird, but Cintron didn't have the look of a guy who was about to quit. Williams was missing with almost everything.

Ok since I don't know about the paramedic's i'll take your word or it since u told me about the paramedics coming in..and yes he was pointing to every part of he's body like he crashed from a ATV freestye the guy has no heart what so ever Paul was starting to put pressure on him and eventually Paul would start to break him down like he has done to every other opponent and mr 'I'm so paralized get me the F*** out of here' would have broken down like always does..this was not Paul's fault in any way it was all the kermit 'WEE' cintron's show and every one paid to see it and it was briliantly masterful performance

I'm just thankful that an act of god brought this fight to an early end, that is how bad it was, plus another unnecessary fight for Paul in my opinion, he needs a big fight at this point and Cintron had more to gain than he did .
