I guess some people can't appreciate good strategy. Tarver effectively shut down Johnson's offense for most of the fight.

The 11th round was unreal, especially at the end of the round. I was off my couch in the 11th.

The fight was no gatti-ward, but it was still a very entertaining fight.

What can you say? Newbs! They watch boxing as a casual fan only looking for nonstop action most likely based on the previous confrontation. Tarver came with a game plan and I highly doubt he would have drifted off it to please anyone if it meant giving up the win. I thought it was a smart gameplan and enjoyed watching him execute it. Johnson is a really nice guy and just needs to now go back and rework things out for a 3rd confrontation because tonight Tarver had his number. He truely needs rematches to win big fights. Hmmmm.

The fight was entertaining..Tarver kind of..****** up the fight in the last round with all the clinching..but..overall..not bad..good strategic..rough fight

I recall him saying that this was the Gatti/Ward for the light heavyweight division. Besides that 11th round was pretty much Gatti/Ward material.

Yeah, the 11th was good, and i thought the 12th would be an extension of the 11th and then some, but Tarver had other ideas.
