Pretty soon we're going to see Merchant lift his leg on the fans and piss on them...

I don't know, I just want to credit Merchant for being honest and direct. It doesn't matter what network the fight is televised, if it's thrash then it's thrash. C'mon, I've heard him thrash a lot of HBO fights before, get real! His just expressing his honest thoughts, and it ain't about the network competition.

Give Merchant his due credit unlike a lot of ***** commentators out there.

It was inappropriate timing at best, whether you buy what he was saying or not. They just had the second fight of what will be a memorable trilogy and he wants to close the show talking about Mike Tyson. That's a slap in the face to the four competitors on the broadcast.

I bet Merchant can still come up with a better signature than yours..

He was giving his last sentiments on Tyson's career. Nothing wrong with that. What other forum does he have to do that?

Tyson hasn't been an HBO fighter in years. If Larry wants to throw jabs at Showtime by more or less plugging their replay, he didn't do it effectively.

What's next - after a memorable Mayweather-Gatti, Larry reflects on the James Toney steroid issue?

I believe the only reason they (he) did this coverage on Tyson and Cotto...

They may assume that not everyone ordered the fight and not everyone has the SHO.., or even miss the replay as they were watching Tarver /Johnson thus as a boxing coverage, they keep the fans up to date, that is with the events that occur on the other network(s)

Come on, how many boxing fans watch HBO fights? Millions..
How many of them follow up on news and sites like this... maybe 10% Most just watch it live for the excitement and don't really follow with the media
