I'd back Calzaghe to beat him more convincingly a second time

Depends on the ref and what the ref allows BHOP to get away with. I thought the refs in Roy Jones Jr/Hopkins II, Wright, and Calzaghe fights were horrible. I can't stand refs who won't deduct points for fighters who excessively clinch or headbutt. Its pretty obvious BHOP is purposely headbutting when he lowers his legs then lunges in with his head-first.

Does Bhop have skills? No doubt he does, but alot of his style is very dirty related and it seems that alot of refs let him get away with this ****. Probably because these refs are goldenboy promotion refs.

Hopkins is a dirty fighter and a cheat. a faker who will play hurt to buy time.

But having said that, the guy has a point. Hopkins love him or hate him is always in shape. That is why he is still fighting at his age. Joe looks a little on the chubby side, now.

Yup, Hopkins is a great fighter and crafty as hell. But I lose a little respect from him with how he relies on dirty tactics to try to win that way. And he does it right in front of the refs, and the refs are magically blind when he latches on to his opponents arm or lunges in with his head.

If Roy vs Hopkins was so bad, then I got a feeling Hopkins a shell of himself tbh and Calzaghe will most likely be really bad too.

Both been out too long and old

2yr lay off will hamper Calzaghe.

                  BUT

A referee that does not let Hopkins hold like he could in the first fight and Hopkins would be in trouble.

Hopkins doesn't even box anymore, I don't know what to call what he does in that ring these days but it isn't boxing.

It's not worth rematching Hopkins, but he wouldn't lose.

Hopkins has faded a bit too and Joe's wiser to Hopkins wierd style to know how to get the decision.
