These sports analysts such as Larry Merchant and Dan Rafael need to understand that once you are in the public's eye you have a responsibility to condone anything that has a positive outcome. Floyd may have had a different agenda when he initially demanded the OST, but since there are no losers and everyone wins, there should be no jealousy as to who initiate the idea, whether it was Floyd, Larry, or Pac himself, or whether Floyd was the commission; it should be fully supported....the sport will be better off overall.
To all who say that Floyd is scare of Pac and that’s why he asked for such a test....it's is ok to be scared, because he's still human. I heard more cries over Barry Bonds hitting a baseball than boxers hitting each other. You want to tell me there is more compassion for a baseball than a human? Hatred is hatred no matter if it comes with a pair of boxing gloves. These guys really put their lives on the line for our entertainment and regardless of what their personalities might be, they do have loves one that will miss them and live with that emptiness while we move on to the next best boxing superstar and just say, “well it happens.”
With that said, if Mayweather feel s that he wants a blood test, I believe he justified in asking for one, because none of us will be in that ring fighting for him. ..It will be him Manny, the ref and the fairness of the sport. To those who predicted Manny to win, don’t you guys want to know you are a good judge of a fighter’s boxing ability and that he deserved every ounce of that win? Manny has a right to refuse the test, but he definitely has a responsibility to take that test. His responsibility is to us, the fans, and the sport that brought him fortune and fame. His responsibility is to his kids and the younger fighters coming up, to show them that hard work can lead to success. I don’t care for EPO in non-combatant sports, but I do care for it combatant sports, and Floyd is not demanding Manny to take the test, he’s saying, “let us take the test.” Therefore, why say “no, I won’t?”
I am not going regurgitate Manny’s many excuses for not taking the test, because they’re ubiquitous on every boxing site, but they’re su****ious to say the least. I just want to see a clean exciting fight, and in the end knowing that two warriors risked their lives to entertain us and the better man won…no cheater.
