Fuck, I didn't even have a dog in this "fight".
I was a fan of neither Williams nor Cintron.
I just wanted to watch a boxing match.

Then I saw it happen on the telly, and the slo-mo vidclip posted at
the start of this thread clinched it for me. Kermit dove out of the ring.
He pushed off with his foot to do it, and didn't try to grab the ropes.

EDIT: if you're a diehard Cintronista, I guess it's your choice to deny
the evidence presented in this thread. I mean, heck, If Plasterito still
has his followers, I guess anything goes.

not a die hard fan, but i do feel bad that his only two losses prior to this fight were a sham. it is pretty obvious that momentum carried him out. he hopped out of instinct. anyone who thinks he made a premeditated decision to hop out of the ring and injure himself is crazy. just an impulse to avoid injuring himself further.

After booing from the crowd, things heated up, then Cintron WWF'ed his way out of the fight. Maybe Cintron felt the punches had power he didn't want to deal with.

The part I don't get is he allegedly wanted to continue, but he laid there like he was dead for like 5 minutes.

It is terrible for the sport i love. The worst thing you can do is short change the fans/haters and that punk Cintron did just that.

Gamesmanship is all good but to bring a fight to a halt because you had enough is a sham.

I just hope it doesnt give other fighters ideas.

how many fights have YOU had? how many world championships have YOU had? I know this is a message board and Boxing is about opinions but yours is VERY closed minded, how can you "blah, blah, blah" a man falling head first in a front flip style crash with a table and then a concrete floor, you didn't feel that, that wasn't you it was Kermit and Kermit after just under 4 full minutes he openly said he wanted to continue

I have no doubt in my mind that Cintron jumped, I saw the replay soo many times on SKYSPORTS. Normally sky wouldnt show a fight like this one but they are looking to showcase new-blood and cintron had a chance here to make a name for himself only to fly out.
