yes i saw that too. if you ask me they went overboard with all the inspectors and and random people overlooking gloves and wraps. but i guess they were just trying to make a point.

How much were the tickets, minus the free tacos. At least $17,000! Tell me, please, how does it feel to be back at the top?

I am glad I bought it because there were some great great fights.

I would pay 40 bucks every time if they made undercards like that.
agreed, I hope Arum puts on some more matchups like yesterdays; it really was a surprisingly stacked undercard

there was a live stream on toprank.com of wrapping on both sides, for dumb asses that dont know that **** happens before fights...and for your info, garcia is the one who actually had to re-wrap

Certainly not true across the board: the most important heavyweight fights
            now take place in Germany.

Yeah, I was surprised. He really used the time off to improve his style. I liked it when he was doing the "matador" bit last night, and the fans ate it up. A newer, more entertaining Margarito.

Cotto sold out MSG against Judah at about 19,000 seats, so we can STFU with who makes more money. His name shouldn't even be brought up as being a draw behind May/Paq/Cotto because he's had one PPV with HBO and it had Cotto's name first on the marquee. Marg is only a name in the sport because of the hand wraps not because of his skills, last time out he got KTFO by someone who just got outclassed by Mayweather. Without his wraps Marg's ain't **** but a guy who throws a lot of slow punches with a good chin, except now he's essentially proven that he can't take a punch like he could because he changed his style a bit.

I mean really, if he was to face Cotto, without his wraps and his new more careful approach he'll make Cotto look like Floyd. Cotto was taking him to school before the wraps started taking their toll and all Marg did was keep coming forward and taking punches. If he can't do that anymore how can his slow plodding ass be able to slip Cotto's speed and combination punching? As for people who support him, i.e. Mexicans I mean really... what would you expect from a country flooded with drug cartels, highest murder rate in the world from just ONE city, and just about at the top of the list in kidnapping, **** and corruption. Beating a dude with casts is nothing to them, I'm sure they'd be for making plaster of paris legal in boxing.

Margarito was working the body on Cotto way early a fact dumb Lampley missed.
He was dishing out punishment that finally took it's toll on Cotto.
Cotto was winning some rounds but getting hurt to the body quite a bit early in that fight.

Sadly, I don't know if either guy is what they were before that fight anymore.

This is very true, but the problem for Marg's is the big "IF." Was it really just the work to the body? IF his hands were wrapped they might have had a quicker impact on Cotto's stamina. IF they weren't that might have let Cotto last even 2 or 3 more rounds. Even if 2 rounds later he took the beating he did against he might have won on the cards. Not saying Cotto fought the perfect fight, he nearly did though if he clinched after combinations even with the wraps he still would have won IMO.

whats wrong with that? you make it seem like mayweather is a **** fighter. Cotto sells at MSG but its always puerto rican day parade when that happens. Margarito can sell 100k at Dallas, why? because he has a global fanbase. that will travel to see him in action, if Margarito fought cotto again then Cottos family better get a casket ready. 1st fight tony took his soul away this new margarito would murder Cotto hes like Pacquiao/Mayweather put into his orignal self.
