Some of Ya'll know me as hating on Pac recently. Truth is I'm neutral and kind of like the guy, just don't like the recent ducking of Mayweather.
Either way, I like Tony too. He's a good guy and honestly my POV about his plaster use is this: What's wrong with a guy using a little plaster to even the odds against a known steroid abuser? I for one think Margarito should have been allowed to keep the plaster in his gloves against the steroid cheater Shane Mosley.
But anyway after watching tonight's fight, a few comments:
1. Margarito vs. Pacquiao would be a war. Margarito moves and boxes well. He seems to box better now and still has his great stamina and non stop punching ability.
2. both would trade nonstop shots.
3. Pac would obliterate Margarito with brutally crisp counter shots.
Margarito is still easy to hit and doesn't have good pop on his punches anymore. Not sure if he ever did, or if the plaster was involved but point is his power isn't all that.
I see Pac countering him very easily and destroying him. Point blank.
Floyd would probably have more trouble with him at least for the first 6 rounds until he begins to wear him down but I see Floyd UD'ing or at least SD'ing him as well. Marg just isn't the big bad threat he once was.
Oh well, I like the guy he's cool but Floyd/Pac both own him at this point of his career.
His best chance is to take a rematch with Cotto or Mosley and get a last big paycheck.
