Luan Krasniqi draws Timo Hoffmann for the European HW Title

In a close and good fight Luan Krasniqi managed to defend his European Title against a surpisingly game opponent in Timo Hoffmann. Judge Ian John Lewis and judge Esa Lehtosaari both had it 114-114 while judge Philippe Verbeke scored the bout 115-113 in favour of Hoffmann. I scored it as a draw (114-114) as well.

The winner of this fight could've been in place for a shot at one of World Titles. Right now it looks as there'll be a rematch though.

Krasniqi had a slow start but came back in the midrounds with some nasty overhand rights. Hoffmann fought the best fight of his career in my opinion. He has a very good chin, a solid jab and good stamina but lacks in power and balance.

I believe that both of them would beat the likes of Brewster or Sam Peter right now.

....Hoffman is better than he has been given credit for.

Everytime he defends his title, the odds are close. The guy really has no shot at being a top 10.

Actually I was surprised as well about how much Hoffmann has improved. I've never seen him this good before. He changed his style and threw a lot more than he usually does. Krasniqi started slow and lost at least the first two rounds. If one of the two won the fight it was Hoffmann.
