This fight being a "success" for Golden Boy depends on how much money they put into the promotion of it. I guarantee they spent some big bucks on this. I am just not sure how much. I can say the promotional expense will rival the Floyd/ODLH fight for sure.

It certainly will not be a failure though, it did good enough.

I knew this fight wasn't going to even hit 2 mill PPVs. The numbers themselves are indeed good, but considering the hype and promotion and the claims of it going to 3 Mill PPV buys, it just seemed they were doing everything in their power to make Floyd look like the big seller here. I think they would've been better off saying they expect a big turnout and a successful event (which in reality it still was).
